Common Questions About Latham Fiberglass Pools
Fiberglass swimming pools are molded, handcrafted pools that arrive at your home, ready to be installed in your yard. The fiberglass is created from millions of interwoven glass threads covered with a polyester resin. This process yields an incredibly durable material that’s ideal for an in-ground swimming pool.
With proper care and maintenance, an inground fiberglass pool can last up to 50 to 60+ years.
The average price range to install a fiberglass pool is between $50,000 and $150,000. However, the total cost of your pool depends on a number of factors, including size, electrical needs, customizations and backyard requirements (such as working with rocky or sloped terrain).
For over 70 years, Latham has earned a reputation for creating pools that are as durable and innovative as they are beautiful. Our exclusive Crystite® Gel Coat and Advanced Composite Technology prioritize longevity and design—blending long-term durability with design-forward finishes.
Latham offers industry-leading limited lifetime warranties on fiberglass pools.
Fiberglass pools have several key advantages over concrete (gunite) pools. Because fiberglass pool shells are manufactured off-site and ready to install, you can start enjoying your pool sooner. By contrast, concrete pools must be poured on-site, taking longer to cure and complete.
Fiberglass inground pools are easier to care for and cost less in terms of upkeep over time. Fiberglass’s smooth surface is algae-resistant, requiring fewer chemicals to balance your water chemistry and pH. Concrete pools require costly resurfacing approximately once every 10 years. Their rough, porous surface makes them less comfortable when swimming and more prone to algae clinging to their surface.
